What makes our self-defense program unique and worthwhile?
It is tailored to YOU! We use core techniques and strategies from many martial arts to adapt to a vast array of situations and your own personal needs. We pressure test and regularly customize techniques for personal variables such as stature, health, and flexibility. Self-defense is far more than a palm heel to the nose and a knee to the groin. It is the ability to fulfill a need to adapt.
It is comprehensive. A bad situation isn't just straightforward violence. It's your coworker touching your shoulder the way you don't like. It's someone forcing you into a submissive social posture without you realizing why you're uncomfortable. It's a drunken person getting angry that you spilled their drink. It's the intricately dynamic scenarios of being robbed at knife/gun point or being assaulted by someone you love. We assess everything from physical, verbal, social, and emotional standpoints.
It is analytical and statistic-based. We cover a vast array of common and thought-to-be common attacks with pressure tested techniques. We use CCTV footage, reported government statistics, doctoral case studies, psychological profiling reports, criminal interviews, and personal experiences to compile and develop realistic techniques.
It maintains an emphasis on de-escalation. We use verbal techniques to avoid, defuse, and escape potentially dangerous situations before they become violent, while using physical postures to maximize safety. We hope you never need to use what you learn here.
