Nunchaku or nunchucks are a fun compact flail type weapon and great for keeping an opponent away. 'Nun' is a dirivative of 'Ni' the number 2, and 'chaku' is a unit of measurement about a foot in length. There are many styles of nunchaku such as round, octagonal, split, and muge. It is a common myth that nunchaku were derived from a rice flail and is in fact more likely to have derived from the muge horse bridle of the time.
All our nunchaku are sanded to 320 grit for a smooth finish, and given about 5 coats of tung oil for wood health and beauty.
